What is XUMO?
XUMO is your destination for free LIVE and on-demand streaming entertainment. With over 100 different channels to choose from, you won’t get bored. Tune in for newly launched music channels, breaking news, epic fails, stand up comedy, sports, news coverage, and more. Select channels as “Favorite” for an experience tailored to you. Share the latest from the guys at Funny or Die, or this week’s People Cover Story from People Entertainment Weekly Network (PEN). Stay up to date, but most of all, stay entertained with XUMO.
Where is XUMO available?
Currently, XUMO is only available in the United States. Support for Canada, however, is coming soon!
What can I watch on XUMO?
XUMO has over 100 channels for you to stream, including channels from popular digital networks such as Refinery29, GQ, Golf Digest, CBSN, and many more!
Does XUMO require a subscription?
All XUMO content is completely free to watch and stream.
What devices is XUMO available on?
You can watch XUMO on your Hisense, Sharp, Magnavox, Panasonic, Philips, Sanyo, or VIZIO smart TV, your Channel Plus enabled LG smart TV, your iPhone or iPad, your Android device, or on your Roku.
Can I watch XUMO on multiple devices at the same time?
Absolutely!
What is the recommended internet speed to stream videos on XUMO (mbps)?
Why does XUMO have commercials?
XUMO has commercials so that we can keep our content free of charge for consumers like you!
How often are channels updated?
Some channels are updated multiple times every day, and others are updated less frequently; it all depends on how often individual providers release new content. You can be sure that the XUMO lineup will be updated as soon as new content is available, though!
Does XUMO have live streams?
Yes. Some channels, including CBS News, have 24 hour live streams for you to enjoy.
How often are new channels added?
We strive to add 2-3 new channels every week. We are constantly working with new digital and traditional networks to bring you the channels you love. Check back frequently for updates about new channels.

Does XUMO track and keep my personal information?
We collect information on how users use XUMO. The reason is simple – we want to keep making it better. It also enables us to recommend you the videos that we think you might enjoy. If you feel that this answer is too broad then you might want to peruse our Privacy Policy, Video Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
How can I set parental controls on XUMO?
Currently, this feature is unavailable. However, the XUMO product and engineering teams are constantly working hard to add in new features, so check back frequently for updates.
Are there any videos in other languages besides English?
Yes. XUMO currently has a few channels that are primarily Spanish-speaking. For a look at these channels, this would be the best place to find out.

What are “We Love” and “Everyone Loves” channels?
“We Love” is a collection of content that we, the XUMO team, think is great. “Everyone Loves” is a collection of content that viewers like you watch frequently and enjoy.
Can I create a playlist? Can I save videos to watch later? Can I watch XUMO channels offline?
Unfortunately, these features are unavailable at the moment. However, the XUMO team is working hard to bring features like these to you soon!

Smart TV FAQs

How do I get XUMO on my smart TV?
[VIZIO] Press the silver and black ‘v’ button in the center of your remote to bring up the app tray, then navigate to ‘App Store’ and click. When in the store, go to ‘Categories,’ then ‘Movies and TV’ to find the blue XUMO app. Click it and follow the instructions to install. Email Us for all other installation requests and we’ll make sure your problem gets resolved!
How do I cast XUMO from my mobile device?
If you have a Chromecast-enabled or VIZIO SmartCast TV, you will see a ‘cast’ icon in the upper right-hand corner when accessing XUMO on your mobile device via our mobile app.
The XUMO button is broken on my remote, what do I do?
[VIZIO] Press the silver and black ‘v’ button in the center of your remote to bring up the app tray, then navigate to XUMO and press ‘OK.’
How do I access the XUMO virtual input?
[HISENSE] The XUMO virtual input will be available for 2017 Hisense smart TVs towards the end of 2017!
Can I customize the closed caption settings on my videos?
Yes, you can! Press the ‘OK’ button while watching a video, then move over to the ‘CC’ button to toggle closed captioning.
 

 

Channel Plus FAQs

What is Channel Plus?
Channel Plus, powered by XUMO, brings the best streams from today’s digital publishers to your living room. Available for free on 2016 and 2017 LG smart TVs running webOS 3.0 / 3.5. Stream over 100 LIVE and on-demand channels.
How do I get to/connect to Channel Plus?
First, make sure you have accepted each of the terms & conditions during the setup process of your LG smart TV. Then, visit the LG Content Store. Once there, search for ‘Channel Plus’ and click install! If Channel Plus does not show up or work properly, please make sure your firmware is up to date by checking LG’s support page.
How many channels are available and what can I watch on Channel Plus?
There are over 100 channels now available for free on Channel Plus! Check out the full lineup.
How much does Channel Plus cost?
Channel Plus is free.
Why am I getting a blank or black screen?
Unfortunately, this is a symptom of something malfunctioning with Channel Plus. To resolve, please follow these steps:

  • Reset your Internet connection. Wait 60 seconds to turn it back on and check to make sure your smart TVs network connection has reconnected.
  • Restart your TV. Wait 60 seconds after turning it off to turn it back on. This should ensure your Internet connection has been reestablished.
  • Check to make sure you are running firmware version 05.30.02. Visit LG’s website here to make sure you are running the latest version.
  • Locate your Client ID via the Channel Plus settings. To get to settings click ‘home’ on your remote control, select the gear icon in the upper right and you will see Client ID for Customer Service in the upper left of the screen.

Please Email Us your Client ID with a description of what is going wrong.

I can see video playing, but am unable to view the content fullscreen.

How do I add, remove or restrict a channel?
You can adjust the controls for each channel by using the webOS channel manager. Select the settings icon (gear) on your remote control. Click on settings > channels > channel manager > all or Internet (Channel Plus specific channels) > select your channel > click one of the two icons in the upper right to either place parental restrictions (lock) or remove the channel from your lineup (arrow).
How do I go back to the Channel Plus menu?
On your remote control, click the ‘back’ icon that is located about halfway down on the left. Keep clicking until you reach Channel Plus Home.
My TV is locked and I cannot access Channel Plus. What do I do?
If your TV is asking for a PIN, enter 0000.
How can I favorite channels?
On the main page, press the Star Button to add a channel to your favorites list.
I accidentally deactivated Channel Plus. How do I reactivate Channel Plus?
Visit the LG Content Store, search for ‘Channel Plus’ and click install!

Roku FAQs

How do I add XUMO to my Roku?
If you are accessing your Roku on your TV, you can visit the app store and search for ‘xumo’ and click ‘add channel’. If you are accessing Roku via the web, you can visit the channel store and add XUMO as a channel.
 

 

Mobile FAQs

How do I delete my account?
If you would like to permanently delete your account, please Email Us. Remember, XUMO is 100% free so it won’t cost you anything if you want to take a little break and come back at a later date to revisit and see what’s new!
How do I make sure I receive content from the brands I like the most?
Unfortunately, this feature is not yet available for our mobile app. We are working on it, though!
Is XUMO available for iOS and Android?
Sure is! Please visit the App Store or Play Store to download XUMO for free.
How do I make sure I have the latest version of the app?
Check your app updates! If you still aren’t sure, visit your app store and check the description to make sure the app you have installed on your mobile device matches what you’re reading in the app store.
Can I save the videos I want to watch again?
Unfortunately, this feature is not yet available for our mobile app. We are working on it, though!
How can I favorite channels?
Unfortunately, this feature is not yet available for our mobile app. We are working on it, though!
How can I share videos with friends?
Yes, next to each video you should see a button that allows you to share on social media, text or mail.
How do I make the videos fullscreen?
You can press the expander icon in the upper right-hand corner to make the video go fullscreen. Or, if you have portrait mode unlocked on your phone, you can just turn your phone landscape and voi-la – fullscreen.
Can I still watch videos with sound while my phone is muted?
Yes! All videos will be muted when you launch XUMO unless you have your volume turned on. This is to limit disruptions to your surroundings (and not scare you).
